Charlie's Story

Charlie has received services from Hope since March, 2014. He lives in his own apartment in Watsonville with the support of our Supported Living team. Charlie's start with Hope Supported Living was also his first time living in a home of his own. Living in his own apartment is very important to Charlie and he is proud of his accomplishment.

He works with our Mobile Work Group on several different contracts (Hope Thrift, Cabrillo College and Zac Computers). Charlie is very outgoing and has a positive attitude. He likes to be busy and is very focused on his work. He spends his time shopping at Hope Thrift and loves spending time with his girlfriend who also receives services from Hope.

Charlie's mother and sister both live in the area and are very involved in Charlie's life. They spend holidays together as well as most weekends and various family events. Charlie values his close relationships but is also a very independent person. He is very confident in his own decisions and is always looking for new opportunities to grow his independence.
